Designed with neurodiversity in mind
Captain Flynn and his crew invite you to set sail on interactive pirate adventures that promote phonological awareness and a love for reading. This phonics programme focuses on tricky vowel teams and the different sounds they can make.
Each episode has been carefully planned with the UK National Curriculum in mind.
We recommend introducing Aye, Aye, Captain!® as your child begins to learn Phase 3 phonics.
Here at BigSelf, we believe the key to educational success is building a strong foundation for learning through fun, engaging songs and activities that encourage learners to revisit and continue to practice skills that are taught through interactive content.
Aye, Aye, Captain!® is a cross-curricular series focusing on Phonics. Episodes break lessons down into short, manageable videos that encourage learners to think and answer questions for themselves, whilst guiding them to the correct solution. Learners can print out supporting worksheets that follow on from each adventure, to practice their skills independently.
